Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. These parameters suit continuous to general cutting operations with moderate feed and depth ranges. It is designed primarily for ISO groups S05-S15 (heat-resistant superalloys and titanium) and M10-M20 (stainless steels), with secondary suitability for H05-H10 (hardened steels). The positive rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape favor finishing and semi-finishing in stable, continuous cuts but are not recommended for heavy interrupted cutting.
