Applications

Cutting speeds range from 98 to 574 sfm with feeds between 0.004 and 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. These parameters support general cutting applications with this universal grade insert. The positive rake chipbreaker and 1/32″ nose radius optimize performance for finishing and semi-finishing operations. This insert is suitable primarily for ISO groups P30-P40 (steel) and secondarily for M20-M30 (stainless steel), K20-K25 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). It is designed for continuous cutting and is not recommended for interrupted cuts or rough turning due to its positive rake geometry and moderate edge strength.
