Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds from 0.001 to 0.005 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for continuous cutting operations with a maximum depth of cut of 0.118 in. The insert is optimized for ISO material group N (Non-ferrous metals), making it ideal for machining aluminum and similar materials. Its positive rake and small nose radius favor finishing and light semi-finishing cuts. Interrupted cutting is not supported due to the positive rake geometry and continuous cutting application requirement.
