Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.005 to 0.018 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.217 in. It is designed for continuous to general cutting operations. The insert is suitable for machining ISO groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) primarily, and M10-M20 (Stainless steel) secondarily, with additional capability on H05-H10 (Hardened steel). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust geometry make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, including heavier interrupted cuts in rigid setups. This insert is not intended for precision finishing or profiling applications due to its negative rake and shape limitations.
