Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 525 to 984 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.003 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.059 in. The maximum depth of cut is limited to 0.059 in to maintain optimal edge life and performance. It is designed for general cutting applications requiring robust machining conditions. It is optimized for ISO P20-P25 steel grades, making it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing operations. The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and are well suited for interrupted cuts and roughing on steel. This insert is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling operations.
