Cutting speeds range from 492 to 3281 sfm with feed rates between 0.001 and 0.012 in/rev. Depths of cut extend up to 0.157 in, supporting finishing to light semi-finishing operations. The small 0.008″ nose radius favors good surface finish with recommended limits of ap0.157 in and fn0.012 in/rev for optimal edge life. This insert is designed exclusively for continuous cutting applications. It is optimized for ISO N materials, specifically non-ferrous metals. The positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape provide low cutting forces ideal for thin-wall workpieces and low-rigidity setups. This insert is not suitable for heavy interrupted cuts or roughing but excels in finishing and semi-finishing roles on aluminum and similar alloys.
