Applications

Cutting speeds range from 98 to 574 sfm with feeds between 0.009 and 0.024 in/rev and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. These parameters support medium to rough turning and facing operations with high material removal rates. The 1/64″ nose radius allows for finishing to light semi-finishing cuts when feed and depth are limited accordingly. This insert is designed for ISO P30-P40 steels primarily, with secondary suitability for M20-M30 stainless steels, K20-K25 cast irons, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium. Its negative rake and robust edge make it ideal for general cutting, including interrupted cuts, in rigid setups, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling applications.
