Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds between 0.004 and 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. Its positive rake geometry is optimized for general cutting with a depth of cut limit of 0.118 in. It is suitable primarily for ISO P30-P40 steels and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K20-K25 cast iron, and S15-S25 heat-resistant superalloys and titanium. The insert is designed for continuous general cutting and is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts due to its positive rake and chipbreaker design.
