Applications

This DCGT insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.002 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. These parameters enable precise control for continuous cutting operations. It is designed specifically for ISO group N materials, targeting non-ferrous metals. The positive rake chipbreaker and 55° diamond shape provide excellent profiling clearance and low cutting forces, making it ideal for finishing tasks. Interrupted cutting is not recommended due to the insert’s positive rake and chipbreaker design. This insert excels in continuous finishing of aluminum, copper, and stainless steel, particularly in profiling and copy turning applications.
