This insert supports cutting speeds from 295 to 492 sfm, feeds between 0.009 and 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. These parameters enable robust heavy interrupted cutting and roughing operations. The 1/64″ nose radius is best suited for finishing to light semi-finishing, with recommended limits of ap0.059 in and fn0.006 in/rev for optimal edge life. Designed primarily for stainless steel in ISO groups M25 to M35, this insert excels in heavy interrupted cuts and roughing applications. Its negative rake and strong edge make it unsuitable for precision finishing, profiling, or thin-wall workpieces sensitive to radial forces.
