Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds up to 400 m/min, feed rates from 0.15 to 0.35 mm/rev, and depths of cut up to 4.0 mm. It is designed for medium to rough turning and facing operations, including heavy interrupted cuts, with a maximum depth of cut of 4.0 mm. Ideal for ISO P (steel and alloy steel) as the primary material group and ISO K (cast iron) as secondary, this insert excels in production OD turning, facing of forgings and castings with scale, and boring in rigid setups. Its negative rake and 80° diamond shape make it unsuitable for precision finishing, profiling, or thin-wall workpieces sensitive to cutting forces.
