Applications

Cutting speeds range from 525 to 984 sfm with feeds between 0.009 and 0.024 in/rev and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. This insert supports general cutting operations within these parameters. The 3/64″ nose radius balances edge strength and moderate feed capability for semi-finishing to medium machining. Designed primarily for ISO P20-P25 steel materials, this insert excels in medium to rough turning and facing applications. Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust edge make it well-suited for interrupted cuts and heavy machining on steel, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
