Applications

This CCMT431-HMP NC3030 insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.011 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.142 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting with a focus on medium to low-speed roughing operations. The insert excels in machining ISO P25-P35 steels primarily, with secondary suitability for M25-M35 stainless steels. Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing to light semi-finishing cuts, but it is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts or roughing with severe interruptions.
