Applications

This TCMT turning insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.008 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.047 in. It is designed for general cutting with a universal grade suitable for a wide range of conditions. The insert excels in finishing and semi-finishing operations within these parameters. It is optimized for ISO material groups P30-P40 (steel) as the primary range, with secondary suitability for M20-M30 (stainless steel), K20-K25 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). Due to its positive rake and chipbreaker design, it is not recommended for interrupted cuts or rough machining but performs well in continuous, stable cutting environments requiring contouring and profiling.
