Applications

Cutting speeds range from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. This insert supports general to interrupted cutting operations within these parameters. The positive rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide versatility for a range of turning tasks. This insert is designed primarily for ISO P30-P35 steel and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K30 cast iron, and S15-S25 heat-resistant superalloys and titanium. Its positive rake geometry suits finishing and semi-finishing, with moderate suitability for interrupted cuts but not heavy roughing or severe interruptions.
