Applications

This DCGT insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. These parameters suit continuous to general cutting operations. The insert is designed for machining ISO groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) primarily, with secondary capability in M10-M20 (Stainless steel) and H05-H10 (Hardened steel). Its positive rake and 55° diamond shape provide excellent profiling clearance and low cutting forces, making it ideal for finishing and light semi-finishing applications. Interrupted cutting is not recommended due to the insert’s geometry and chipbreaker design.
