Applications

Cutting speeds range from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.006 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.091 in. This insert supports general to interrupted cutting with a positive rake chipbreaker and an 80° diamond shape. The nose radius is 1/64″. It is suitable primarily for ISO P30-P35 steels and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steels, K30 cast irons, and S15-S25 heat-resistant superalloys and titanium. The insert excels in finishing and semi-finishing applications, including light interrupted cuts, but is not recommended for heavy roughing or severe interrupted cutting.
