Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds from 0.005 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. It is suitable for continuous to general cutting operations within these parameters. The insert is designed primarily for ISO groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) and secondarily for M10-M20 (Stainless steel) and H05-H10 (Hardened steel). Its negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, including heavier interrupted cuts in rigid setups. It is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling applications.
