Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. These parameters enable versatile general cutting operations with a focus on finishing. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P40 steel and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K20-K25 cast iron, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium. The positive rake and 55° diamond shape provide excellent profiling clearance and low cutting forces, making it suitable for finishing and copy turning. Interrupted cutting is not recommended due to the insert’s geometry and chipbreaker design.
